KS3 students celebrated their traditional Sports day last Monday. The event was marked by sportsmanship and great weather. In the morning, the students went to the University of Vigo facilities in order to participate in the following competitions: long jump, sprints, relay races and football matches.

In the afternoon, the competitions continued at the school premises, where the basketball and hockey games took place.

After adding the scores, York emerged victorious thanks to Year 8 and Year 9 victories. Durham won in Year 7.

Sports Day is over but on 1st June, in order to celebrate their victories, the students from the winning houses will have the opportunity to wear the T-shirt which represents their house, instead of the school uniform.
