Year 7 students have recently visited the exhibition: ‘Terracota Warriors. The army of the First Emperor of China’. The exhibition is held in Vigo until 19th February. During the visit, O Castro British School secondary students have had the opportunity to see a replica of the largest archaeological site in the world, which dates back to 211 BC.
Our students learnt a lot from the exhibition, since it replicates the atmosphere of the pit where the original 8,000 pieces of terracotta warriors and actual size horses are. The Terracotta sculptures depict the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of Unified China.
