OCBS celebrates the Year 6 Graduation

The first British School of Galicia celebrated last 7th of the traditional Graduation Ceremony of Year 6. It is a very important event in the British educational system that indicates the change of educational stage, from Primary to Secondary, symbolized by Presentation of ties.

Mari Carmen Vázquez, founder of the first British school in the city, was responsible for opening the ceremony, along with Mr. Nathan Parry and the coordinator of Y6, Mr. Leigh Davis, who could not contain the tears, and the Head of Key Stage 3, Mr. Joe Pedreira.

Year 6 students performed the ceremony with the rhythm of Somewhere only we know, by Lily Alen, Roar, by Katy Perry and a fantastic dance with a Glee song. In addition, parents gave the school a beautiful olive tree, which will be planted in the school facilities.
