Last Friday, 9th June, O Castro British School Year 6 students had the opportunity to live one of the most special moments in their academic lives. Their parents, teachers and the School Board were there to celebrate their achievements.
The two Year 6 groups entered the sports hall at the beat of “We won’t stop dreaming” by Pinkzebra. There, they were received by their families and the teaching staff, represented by Mª Carmen Vázquez, Governor of the School; Nathan Perry, Head Teacher; María Guyre, Director of Studies; Keith Bailey, Deputy Head Teacher; Leigh Davis, Upper KS2 Coordinator; Rebecca Vicars, Year 6 teacher and Paul Horstead, Secondary Deputy Head Teacher.
The teachers congratulated the graduates on their effort and achievements over these years. After the students received their ties and certificates, the School Head Boy and Head Girl gave our Year 6 students a warm welcome to Secondary Education.
The ceremony, which was very emotional, included a slideshow with pictures of the graduates from their earliest years through today.
