Our Year 2 students went on an exciting trip to Peinador airport last week. The aim of the visit, which was organised by the Social Sciences department, was to find out about the daily tasks of those who work there.
Our students were able to assist the boarding process. They learnt about the security checks and the airport baggage handling system. Some of the things that interested our students the most were: the fire station and the use of falconry for wildlife control at airports. Despite technological advances, falcons remain the most effective resource.
