Once again this year, O Castro British School pays a special tribute to science by celebrating the 4th edition of Science Week. This annual celebration of science draws to a close next Saturday, when an open day will be held in the premises of the school.
Throughout this week, our students have had the opportunity to dive deep into one of the pillars of the school’s educational model, science, but from a different perspective.
Among the activities for this week, our older students received a practice session of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) carried out by health professionals. Our Year 9 students were able to learn how to perform chest compressions or how to use a defibrillator.
Our Year 4 children played an amazing game in order to learn in an amusing and fun way how our body works. The game was an interactive trip in which each child was an organ or a part of the body.
In addition to the experiments carried out by Year 6, which will be exhibited at the Science Fair, the little ones are having a special role in this edition of the fair. They have been working hard on several activities this week, such as “A trip to the moon” or “Discovering weight and measure”. They will surely put into practice all this knowledge and experiments with their parents next Saturday.
We look forward to your visit!
