O Castro British School hosted its traditional Celebrating Differences Week, a week where students and teachers focus on one of the foundations of the British Curriculum, and of our school as well: educating in values.

Thus, throughout last week, our students looked into concepts such as cooperation, solidarity, respect, empathy or equality: all these values of O Castro British School, basic to make our school vision come true: to build a caring and inclusive community, that allows us to improve our environment and ourselves.

Nobody wanted to miss this great celebration, including the youngest students in our school. The groups of Reception sang a song to the new Nursery students called “It´s OK to be different”, and the very youngest returned the nice gesture reciting a lovely poem titled “Everyone belongs”.

On their part, al KS1 students focused their work on values like equality, as well as the wealth that we can find in plurality and diversity, not only in ideas, but also in culture, race, habits and traditions of each town or region.

Congratulations to everyone for your great work!
