Sport and values at the NACE Olympic Games

Last week, O Castro British School hosted the seventh edition of the NACE Olympic Games, a sports competition of the NACE Schools group that brought together more than 150 schoolchildren between 11 and 14 years old from fifteen schools from Spain, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Andorra and Portugal.

The competition was developed by teams composed of students from the different participating schools, in keeping with the multicultural and integrating spirit that characterizes NACE events, in eight sports: football, athletics (100 and 400 meters), basketball, table tennis, frisbee, surfing and traditional games on the beach, such as the saco races, the handkerchief or the rope strip, and in three different locations: the beach of Patos, the sports complex of the University of Vigo and the school facilities in Mos.

Congratulations to all the participants, for their sportsmanship, fair play and example in values demonstrated throughout the competition, especially to the finalist teams: the centolos and the volandeiras, in the categories Alevin masculine and feminine, and the nubeiros and the fiadoras, in the Infant categories, masculine and feminine.
