Let us introduce our Head Students!
This year it was extremely hard to select Head Students due to the high number and exceptional quality of the applications. We have now made the choices and are proud to introduce you to our Head Students. They will act as ambassadors for the school and help us to make the school even better than it already is.
Enrique González de La Ballina Roca (Deputy Head Boy)
My name is Enrique and I’ve been studying at O Castro since its early beginnings. I am currently preparing for A Level exams in English Language, French, Spanish and History. In addition I am also preparing to take two PCE exams in the fields of Business Economics and Mathematics applied to the Social Sciences. My plan is to further my education in university with a dual degree program of Business and International Studies and specialise myself in the field of marketing. From O Castro I will remember especially the people and its warm atmosphere, making our center appear more like a community than a mere school.
Eva Peláez Prado (Deputy Head Girl)
I am studying Geography, Mathematics, Chemistry and Spanish A Levels and Fisica and Quimica for my PCE subjects. My intention is to study Ecological and Environmental Sciences at University of Edinburgh. The best thing about studying at O Castro is the international atmosphere around the school, as many of my peers and teachers are from different countries and the almost one on one teaching experience in y12 and y13 as the classes are reduced in size allowing the teacher to have a more individual focus.
Enrique, Eva, Álvaro and Aitana
Álvaro Morgade Carneiro (Head Boy)
My name is Álvaro Morgade, I am studying Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Spanish in the field of the A-Levels, and Biology and Chemistry as PCE subjects. My future aspiration is to become a dentist in Spain, performing my studies in a Spanish university, with the option of developing a post-graduate abroad. I admire our school regarding its vision of education: a lifelong apprenticeship in all the different disciplines, merging the values of Spanish and British education within a unique curriculum that develops us into lifelong learners. O Castro is truly more than just a school.
Aitana Gónzalez López (Head Girl)
I am studying Mathematics, History, English language and Spanish A Levels. For my PCE subjects I am studying Economics and Mathematics applied to social sciences. My intention is to study Law with European Law at a University in the UK. The best things about studying at O Castro are the opportunities it grants us, be that in an international environment or in our classrooms; the amicable and accepting environment is marvelous, we are a very close community. O Castro has helped each one of us grow and evolve as individuals. One thing is for certain the education we have at O Castro cannot be found elsewhere.
