Our classrooms, particularly those used for Early Years children, are bright and spacious, with particular areas set aside for different activities; quiet spaces where children can sit with a book, games corners, open spaces in which assemblies can take place, etc. Our Art and Music rooms, ICT suites and psychomotor skills room are fully-equipped to meet the individual needs of each pupil, whatever their age and ability.
We believe that children learn a great deal from nature, and with this in mind, at O Castro British School, weather permitting, our Early Years and Primary pupils in particular spend many lessons in our outdoor classrooms and nature areas, surrounded by trees and greenery.
There are two libraries at O Castro British School. The newly refurbished “Margarita Cal” library for Primary school pupils, contains a wealth of resources, with different spaces set aside for reading. The recently inaugurated Secondary library is an ideal space in which our older pupils can study, read, research and work on collaborative projects.
