And finally…. the big day came on Wednesday 17th… after weeks of rehearsals and preparation our pupils were ready to raise the curtain. Everybody´s nerves were frayed with good reason. This year the central theme was “Christmas around the world” and our pupils delighted us with a show that gave us the opportunity to learn how Christmas is celebrated in different countries around the world.

We listened to an Irish Christmas carol with Year 1A. Artists from year 1B said happy Christmas in the Scottish way. “Rudolphs” from Year 1C made us laugh with their “Hokey Pokey” There was no lack of Christmas classics like “Jingle Bells” or “White Christmas” (a very special “Empire of the Sun” version). “Petit Papa Noel” came from France and pupils from Y6. From Year 5 we were invited to celebrate Christmas on a surfboard and hit the sunny shores of Hawaii. The show ended up with a Brazilian batukada.

Congratulations to all, you are amazing!

During the show the names of the Christmas cards contest winners were announced. Winners were given a well- deserved award and a big applause from the audience.

We thank all those parents who sent us photos of the event.
